Draft — to be reviewed by a lawyer
What this policy covers
This policy is part of our terms of service. It applies to the software you run on your servers, to the customer portal, to the licensing service and to this website.
What you may not do
- Distribute unlicensed or pirated content: channels, events, films, series or any other material for which you do not hold the rights holders' permission, including relaying another provider's service.
- Distribute illegal content, such as material showing the sexual abuse of children, terrorist content, or content that incites violence or hatred.
- Infringe other people's rights, such as trademarks, privacy or personality rights.
- Attack or abuse our services: probe or overload them, try to gain access you were not given, work around the licence checks, or share licence keys.
- Use the software or our services to send spam or malware, or to deceive viewers about who provides the service.
What we do
When we learn that a licence is used against this policy, we tell the customer and ask them to put it right within a reasonable time. If they do not, or the breach is serious, we may suspend the licence: it then freezes growth and gets no updates. Where the breach continues, we may end the contract. Where the law requires us to act at once, for example for clearly illegal content, we may suspend the licence without waiting.
We do not host our customers' services or content, so we cannot remove content ourselves. The customer who runs the service does.
How to report a breach
Write to us at [email protected]. Rights holders find what a report needs on the copyright and abuse page.
