Security overview
- Live channels and processed videos can be encrypted, and their keys reach only the devices that may play them.
- Each device holds its own key and signs its requests; playback links are short-lived and limited to the viewer's device, network and assigned servers.
- Staff sign in with two-factor authentication, with roles that give each person only what they need.
- Every privileged action is recorded in a tamper-evident audit log.
- Backups are stored encrypted, and updates are signed, so your servers install only genuine releases.

Self-hosting and where data lives
You run the platform on servers you choose, in the country and data centre you choose. Your content, your subscribers and your viewers' data stay there. Our licensing service receives only the licence check-ins, with facts about the installation and no personal data of your viewers.
Payments
Card and SEPA Direct Debit payments are handled by Stripe and cryptocurrency payments by CoinGate. Card and bank details are entered with them and do not reach our servers; bank transfers go straight to our account.
